Story behind the JT Woodruff Podcast
Most bands would have called it a day having weathered the heartbreaking losses (of founding guitarist Casey Calvert), naysayers and label purgatory problems that Hawthorne Heights experienced over the course of their decade-long career. But rolling with the considerable punches and pitfalls they’ve encountered seems only to have sharpened the band’s resolve. In fact, their continued optimism, despite personal and professional hardships, may be attracting a new legion of fans both domestically and abroad.
For over 10 years, JT Woodruff has delivered the heartfelt and heavy music of a generation as the frontman, guitarist of Hawthorne Heights. JT and Hawthorne Heights will be on tour all throughout Europe in April and May on their 10 Year Anniversary Tour for their debut LP, The Silence In Black and White. Additionally, in 2014, he releases his solo full-length album, Field Medicine, via InVogue Records. Field Medicine is a collection of songs about losing yourself, remembering youth, and finding out exactly who you have become, all set within the backdrop of living in the American heartland.
